Patient hotel.... the return

Grandpa took this photo on the glass floor at the British Museum yesterday- all the amazing things for them to look at there and this is always their favourite part!
Well today we moved back to the room we were in before the Italian Wing. It felt a bit wierd for me as I remembered how yuck I felt in it before! That was soon forgotten when the kids announced how much they loved it! It is bigger than the last one and the kitchen is much better equipped. Me and Emma are now sharing a room which I have been so looking forward to. The plan was that Al was going to take Meg and Greg home tonight but they were having so much fun in their new flat that I couldnt bring myself to send them. So one more day with us and then back to school... unless it snows of course!
Tonight I did my last clean of Emmas dialysis site. Eugh!! Its coming out tomorrow. Yippee! We are all a bit nervous about it, but it should be quite a quick op. I hate taking her to theatre but its my turn after Al did it for the big one- 3 weeks ago! Can you believe it??!!
Emma was most excited to paint my nails tonight. I havent been able to paint them since dialysis started as had to be hyper clean with surgical scrub. So they are now a fetching green with orange and blue dots!
Well Meggie has now joined me in my lovely single bed so I had better try and persuade her to go to sleep.
Much love Katy

  1. What a fantastic photo, I can see why they would be fascinated with this....I know Erika has a special place in her heart for glass floors.

I'm looking forward to seeing this special place 'the patient hotel', it's clearly too exciting to leave. Although I know you are sorely missed here, one little boy is desperate to see you Meggie.

Will be praying lots for you all tomorrow as you go through another milestone, but what a fantstic one to have reached. I know that the prayers of many will be with you.

Green nails sound rather fetching...next blog photo perhaps....the hands tho please 'cause I feel about feet the way Erika feels about glass floors!

You are such an incredible bunch, so strong and such an inspiration to many. And just so utterly gorgeous with it, how ever do you manage it?
Keep taking good care of yourselves, especially you Katy, remember you are in recovery too.
All our love, huge hugs and many prayers with you all,
    the Gray gang.
